The Sharpening Project
Building Men of
Faith, Strength
& Purpose
A mentorship program for middle school and high school guys.
Christ-Centered · Mentor-Led · Safety-First

The Sharpening Project is a Christ-centered mentorship program designed to help young men grow in faith, character, and confidence. Our mission is to build a safe, encouraging space where middle school and early high school students can build strong friendships and find guidance from older mentors who follow Christ.

What We Do

Through weekly meetups and monthly hangouts, students spend time with trusted high school mentors who care deeply about them, listen, and lead by example. These years can be challenging — filled with peer pressure, insecurities, and the difficulties of growing up. Our mentors help students find strength, maturity, and peace through Christ.

How It Works
  • Each group includes two mentors and two to three students.
  • Groups meet once a week for at least an hour.
  • Mentors are trained, vetted, and guided by adult leaders and pastors.
  • Every meeting includes prayer, accountability, and encouragement.
  • Monthly hangouts bring everyone together for food, games, and devotionals.

Why We Do It

We believe no young man should walk alone. Our mission is to help every student discover his purpose — to walk closely with God, grow in character, and lead with strength.

"This program was born out of a calling from God — to create a space where young men can be seen, known, and built up in faith. It's about freedom, growth, and learning to walk with Christ daily."

— Ethan Adnevik, Founder of The Sharpening Project
